On Indigenous Peoples' Day, Gatherwild Ranch honors the Muh-he-con-ne-ok, or Muhican (Mohican) people—the "People of the Waters That Are Never Still"—on whose ancestral homelands in the Hudson Valley we gather. We recognize their enduring connection to these lands, waters, and ecosystems, honor their ongoing cultural sovereignty, and commit to holding this space with care, respect, and active stewardship.
